Kinda the first official blog posting!!!!

K. So this isn’t gonna be all that informative of a blog. In fact, this is just a test for Windows Live Writer. Supposedly it makes posting to blogs quick and simple. All in attempt to get Tara to update our blog once in awhile! (we’re gonna hafta make this as easy as possible)

Hey Everyone!

We are so excited to finally have our own blogspot. We just recently got married December 29th last year. It's been a CRAZY few months as we've been trying to get used to the change that marriage brings! Jared was building our home in Hurricane before we even met so now we both live out here. I had some reservations about living in Hurricane but it's ended up being such a blessing and lots of fun. We love living close to our families...Jared's in particular. Four of his siblings moved out here at the same time! We are all within walking distance of each other. Jared is a civil engineer and works at Alpha Engineering in St. George. I am a dental hygienist and I work at Dr. Gibson's and Dr. Neilson's only three days a week. We both love our jobs and we're grateful for our three day weekends :)

Currently, Jared has been trying to build a planter box for our outdoor shower. He just bought a saw and sander, so I guess we'll have to see how it turns out! I have been trying to make our house look more like a home. I didn't realize how much money and work it takes! It's slowly taking form, and we're enjoying it more and more.

How We Met...

Jared's sister, Janie, was working at Pasta Factory and I was having lunch there with a girlfriend. She suddenly had the brilliant idea to set me up with her older brother Jared, so she called her sister-in-law, Jarica (who's also a good friend of mine), to get my number. Not long after that I received phone call from Jared asking me out on a date. I'd never met him before, so I guess it was a blind date! My first impression of him was that he was tall and cute. He has beautiful eyes. We ate at Texas Roadhouse and bowled at the CREEPY Brentwood Bowling Alley in Hurricane. We had lots of fun and went out the next week. We were inseperable after that!

Happily Ever After

Jared proposed only 2 1/2 months after we met. It was a total surprise! I didn't even think he liked me that much! We went to San Francisco for my 22nd birthday, and he proposed overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge as the sun was going down. It was so pretty and one of the happiest moments of my life. We spent the whole drive home planning our upcoming wedding. We decided to get married on December 29th (the most busy time of year). We had a wonderful dinner reception for family and close friends the night before where Jared sang to me! It was the highlight of my night. The next morning we were married the Pine Valley chapel. It was snowing and absolutely perfect. We left right after to go on our Honeymoon. We went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. The cruise went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatzan, and Cabo San Lucas. It was a blast!
